networthing: the practice.

i'll never be able to change the world by discovering some incredible cure or writing a beautiful ballad. but i suppose, i want to leave an impression on everyone. verbal, confidant and extroverted, i can be your worst american nightmare or your greatest personal coach.

in trying to figure out why people connect with others, i have briefly discussed with justin, aka the blogfather what he may think it is. justin has been writing about his life on the internet since the early 90s. blogging was justin before it was a part of our lexicon. and justin has made friends all over because he shares his life openly. we haven't had a chance to finish our conversation yet but i think openness might be the key.

from my observations, we have similar characteristics but very different backgrounds. everytime i have had the pleasure of playing with justin, i am introduced to another bunch of incredibles. at the re:play book launch and at silvio's birthday dinner, justin introduced us to several game peeps, writers, a performance artist, and a feminist. friends from a previous introduction included thoughtful and amazing thinkers. justin, the master of ceremonies made sure to move from one end of the table to the other helping conversation flow (it's all about flow these days).

at the end of the night justin thanked us again and again for our hospitality and for welcoming his friends. i thought, au contraire mon frere.

what is your net worth? is your life rich? to be continued...

networthing: history.
networthing: residue of design.
