presents
Malcolm McLaren’s Fashion Beast Party - 9.30 p.m.
Wild Strawberries in concert - 10.30 p.m.

On Thursday 8th January an extraordinary party-cum-concert will be held at the Stazione Leopolda, Florence, during Pitti Immagine Uomo 65.

Malcolm McLaren, the legendary manager of the Sex Pistols, will be presenting his latest discovery: Wild Strawberries, an all-female band of Chinese rockers. Appearing alongside the girls from China will be GameBoy Musicians, young electronic musicians who use Game boys to play Chip Music, a chic and cheap type of electronic music that McLaren defines as “underground, authentique et sexy”.

McLaren, the great punk visionary and skilful rock business manager, has once again demonstrated his ability to tune into new realms of pop culture and international entertainment.

Before and after the concert (which will be around one hour long) McLaren’s DJs will play a special selection of Eighties music: their tribute to the Excess. Fashion & the Underground in the Eighties, exhibition being held in the adjacent aisle.

Program for the evening:
9.30 p.m.
MALCOLM McLAREN’S FASHION BEAST PARTY
10.30 p.m.
WILD STRAWBERRIES FROM BEIJING
GAMEBOY MUSICIANS
COVOX FROM STOCKHOLM
LOBAT FROM BRUSSELS

Live projectionists:
THE C MEN FROM AMSTERDAM
DJ STEPHAN GRIEDER FROM STOCKHOLM
